Graphic Redesigns: Breathing New Life

Welcome back to my blog!

In today's post, I'll be discussing the various graphic redesigns I've done for different games, showcasing how a fresh coat of paint can breathe new life into classic titles.

Matches Builder

The first game is Matches Builder, players assemble matches to connect a rocket to a fire source, making the rocket take off.
The mechanics are similar to those in Poly Bridge or Build a Bridge!

The original design was quite rudimentary, so I reworked it using "Flat Kit" from Dustyroom studio, one of my favorite plugins for visual work. After experimenting with different variations and adding some post-processing, I achieved the results showcased in the videos provided above.

As a bonus, I included a night version, adding variety to the game and breaking up any potential monotony.

Battle Blob

Battle Blob is a tank game where players move on an axis to reach the end of the level while eliminating enemies.

The original style was quite rough, so I took inspiration from the game "Tanks" on Wii, aiming for a polished and rounded visual.

Here is the beginning of what I proposed to the studio. The result gave the game a more refined and modern look.

These redesigns demonstrate how a fresh perspective and some visual tweaks can revitalize games, making them more appealing and enjoyable for players.
